The three ways it is sold
By the room is self-storage: a 10 to 20 square metre unit in Sydney starts around $131 a month and the median advertised price is about $576, with the big operators averaging $241 (National Storage), $430 (Storage King) and $519 (Kennards) for that size. By the pallet is third-party logistics, quoted weekly. By the day is what CoHub lists — someone else's warehouse, for the days you need it.

Sydney's industrial geography, briefly
Where you store affects the cost of every trip to and from it, which for most small operations matters more than the rate itself. The inner belt — Marrickville, Alexandria, St Peters, Botany — is small bays and converted buildings close to the city and the port, and it is the expensive end. The western spine through Silverwater, Smithfield, Wetherill Park and Yennora is the traditional industrial heart and where most mid-sized space sits. Further out at Eastern Creek and Erskine Park the stock is newer, larger and built for trucks. If you are storing stock you touch weekly, the inner belt usually pays for itself in freight and time; if you are storing it for a season, it rarely does.
Can I rent warehouse space in Sydney for a week?
Not usually as a conventional lease — commercial industrial leases run for years. The short-term options are self-storage by the month, pallet storage by the week through a 3PL, or spare space in someone else's warehouse, which is what CoHub lists and is booked by the day.
How much is short-term warehouse storage in Sydney?
Self-storage runs about $70 to $110 a week for nine square metres and $145 to $220 for twenty. Pallet storage runs $2 to $8 a pallet a week depending on pallet type, before handling charges of roughly $5 to $15 a pallet in and out.
Is self-storage the same as a warehouse?
No, and the difference usually decides it. Self-storage is a locked room with limited access hours and no loading dock, priced per unit. A warehouse has height, a roller door, forklift access and somewhere for a truck to pull in. If a pallet jack has to get through the door, you need the second one.
