Which end of the city

The CBD prices in bands. The top end is the towers around Martin Place, Barangaroo and Circular Quay, where the room comes with a view and a staffed reception. The middle is the Wynyard and Town Hall corridor, where most of the $90 to $130 rooms sit and where the transport is genuinely best. The southern end towards Central and Surry Hills is where CBD pricing starts giving way to Surry Hills pricing — a ten-minute walk can take forty dollars an hour off the rate. Almost nobody drives to a CBD meeting, so pick for the walk from the station rather than the parking.

How much is a meeting room in the Sydney CBD?

Between $90 and $195 an hour, averaging around $149. That is about fifty per cent more than the Sydney-wide average of $99.

Is it worth paying the CBD premium?

It is if your attendees are arriving by train from several directions, or the meeting itself needs to look a certain way. It is not if everyone is driving — suburban rooms are cheaper and the parking is real.

Can I hire a CBD meeting room for a full day?

Yes, and full days are usually priced at around six to seven times the hourly rate rather than eight, so a full day in the city typically lands between $400 and $950 depending on room size.
