Hire a Web Developer or IT Support for a Task
Looking to hire a web developer for a defined piece of work — a bug fixed, a small feature built, an IT issue sorted — rather than a long engagement? CoHub Gigs lets you post the task, set a budget, and pick from real applicants from anywhere in Australia who quote against your actual brief.

Post a taskIs this different from Upwork or Freelancer.com?
Those are large, global freelance platforms with a huge developer pool — CoHub Gigs is a much smaller, Australia-based general task marketplace where tech is one category among several. If you need a big pool of specialist developers to choose from, a global platform may serve you better; CoHub Gigs suits a single, defined task you’d rather post locally.
What kind of tech tasks can I post — is it just web dev, or IT support too?
Both, and anything task-sized in between: a website bug fix, a small feature build, a one-off IT support issue, a site audit.
| Task type | Typical example |
|---|---|
| Web dev | A bug fix, a small feature |
| IT support | A one-off tech issue sorted |
| Audit | A site or systems review |
What’s actually included in the price?
Whatever the applicant quotes against the brief you post — CoHub doesn’t set a standard tech rate, since a quick fix and a small build aren’t the same job. You see the quote before you accept, and CoHub’s 15% platform fee comes out of the worker’s payout only.
What if the work isn’t right, or I need to cancel?
Payment is only released once you’ve reviewed the work and confirmed it’s done — so an issue gets flagged and fixed before the task is marked complete, not after. The standard 48-hour free cancellation window applies, with a full refund including the platform fee.
